Choose your bike, your safety equipment and your route and off you go! A great chance to see Antigua’s hidden countryside up close.

There are three routes mapped which are marked out, that offer different distances and challenges. They also have an emergency call-out vehicle should you wish to come back early, have a puncture or have any other problems.

Two of the trails go past the Antigua Humane Society Donkey Sanctuary, which is well worth taking a break to visit en route.

Another trail goes past ‘The Roadhouse Cafe’, which is renowned for its local food.  This trail also passes the Willoughby Bay lookout point – a fantastic opportunity to sit down for a break and enjoy one of Antigua’s finest coastal views.  At the half way point you can enjoy a rum punch at Smiling Harry’s beach front bar and relax on the award-winning beach at Half Moon Bay.

They offer water and picnic back packs available to rent should you wish to take a pit stop and enjoy Antigua’s stunning vistas from one of the many vantage points on the trails.

Climb aboard one of their Rum Rovers and start your Rum Adventure. Learn a bit of the history of the sugar trade that dominated the island of Antigua in years gone by. The tour starts with a trip to the sugar cane fields. Taste the sweet freshly cut cane first-hand from the field, which is the very start of the rum production process. Then off to Betty’s Hope Museum, where you can see a refurbished sugar mill and get a haunting sense of what life was like for slaves, plantation workers and owners in the 1800s.  Then it’s off to the Willoughby Bay look out point to see where the ships came in to pick up the molasses produced at Betty’s Hope and elsewhere.
